FAMAE SAF and metal mags

Anyone else get the new email from TI about the new shipment of SAF'S and metal mags?!?!?!?!


I had to get my order in for a new SAF and 6 mags. Needed too as the SAF is awesome but the crappy plastic mags made it very unrealistic in my mind.

Will have to get a couple. AR pistol mags still rock in the saf even if they need a mag well hold.

Holy crap $159 per mag??? WTF??? The US market is opening up soon to the famae line. I can't see mags being that highly priced down south once they come in.

Screw it. Will stick to buying AR pistol mags and do my mag well hold.

Only thing I'm curious about from a mag pespective is whether or not the 40sw mags will reliably feed 9mm. Could be an extra couple of rounds per mag for those interested. Expensive gamble to test it.

Bought one used this spring with foldong stock, fixed stock, optic rail, sling and two mags for 2500. And I thought that was a tad high at the time but so hard to find them so I jumped.

Glad I did now.

I've got the SAF in 40 & 9mm, the 40 has metal mags and they fit the 9 and hold 6rds. They feed and eject 100% manually but haven't tried them at the range. The plastic 9 mags do not fit the 40, slightly thicker, would think the metal 9 ones would fit.

We prepaid when our $ was a heck of a lot better than it is now. Did TI prepay when they placed their order? If not then maybe little or no profit. If a loss than maybe no mags at all.

THIS is why I sold my SAF and my SAF-200. TI was great for the initial sales but I hate being starved for parts and support.

SAF series; awesome firearms and never had a failure in either but weak mags and no viable options...

Yeah they are expensive but my gun is practically useless without them. I purchased 4 of them and we all paid in full in advance. In my case I purchased last August as per Tactical Imports policy and would like to at least know that things are still happening. I don't mind being patient (it's been 6 months) but a simple update would just be courteous.
