Famae saf mags???

Is it possible to find better mags for the famae saf... Original plastics one break very easely... Or even finding something like uni mag that fit ???? Or 10 rounder pistol mag ???
 
I often wondered if the Famae SAF could have it's mag well altered slightly to accept RRA LAR 15 10rd 9mm Pistol Mags. They too have double stack all the way to the top and are metal.

The RRA LAR15 pistol mags were available from Questar I believe for a while. I was not looking for them too hard though. I noticed several 9mm Thueron Defence rifles in the last year sold with them so they are being sold somewhere. The mags are a design similar to the UZI mags so sounds like they might work. I have seen them for sale on the EE at times too. I would think anyone selling RRA could get them. Keep this in mine. The law. If you modify the mag it better still work in the RRA 9mm pistol or your hooped. Unless your going to pin it to 5rds. But half the reason to do this is to have 10rd mags legal in the FAMAE. Your safer to mod the gun to take the RRA mag.

Famae apparently does make metal mags for the SAF... I actually inquired directly to Famae some time ago to see if there was a way to have them shipped here, but had no response :(

Didn't you get the memo? All FAMAE mags are being channeled to the Chilean military for their fish war with Peru. The GWOF is getting pretty intense.
