Do they beat up the brass at all? I was thinking about getting one. I'm already set up for reloading for the .308.

How is the accuracy on them? I understand they're not as good as Swiss Arms but are still okay?

I'm sure I should be putting this in the battle rifles thread but that thread is pretty much just for M1A's.

Mine dents the case necks some...I can post some pictures later tonight. My experience rested at 100m with iron sights and surplus ammo was 3.25MOA. I'd imagine better ammo and sighting equipment would improve that

Here's a fired case (it's Hirtenberger surplus) from mine. There's the obvious dent in the neck, plus a scratch on the side and a little burr on the rim. They all had the same pattern.

that brass is still very reloadable.... is that a word? If you want better accuracy in the SG 542 Vihtavouri powders should be used.

I really want one of these, but not for $3000

I want one, as I have a PE90 but.... then I saw one in real life. The fit/finish was disappointing. The cost of accessories was the firearms equivalent of gang rape. Apparently without lube. That probably costs a lot extra.

I keep coming back to them though, but I just can't pull the trigger. Maybe as more people off load theirs to get other options. If the price comes down a lot then I will definitely have trouble not getting one. this is one of those rifles that I really want, but at this time I just can't justify it. Maybe if I keep reading reports on it, I can convince myself.

I couldn't justify $3000 either so I got mine barely used off the EE. Came with 6 mags, 200rds of MFS .308, hard case, and blue force sling. With taxes included on a new Famae, I paid $1000 less than new for this barely used one.

I know the one. I looked at it too. I think that was worth it. Good job grabbing that one.

just because guys cannot afford these does not mean they are not worth the money. In a life and death situation its one rifle that would be well worth betting on. These rifles can handle a lot more hard use than folks realize. just because they are not pretty does not disqualify them from being excellent rifles, that absolutely perform as designed. In my opinion, with the dollar down, and with other makes pumping out junk as fast as possible, these rifles are a good buy, excellent buy in fact.

I would avoid the "you can't afford it" line of thinking. Most if they really wanted one of these could likely come up with the money. The dollar is down, but... the buying frenzy in the US has been over for a while with firearm companies looking to avoid bankruptcy (Colt), C42 is in the home stretch, there is an election on the way, many are looking to dump their firearms due to the lay offs in the oil/gas industry along with those looking to buy the newest semi auto non restricted rifle.

If you find a great deal or really have to have one then so be it. But there are concerns, especially at full price and around the 3K mark isn't usually spent on a whim. Most people have to be able to at least justify it to themselves. Either they had to have one, it was a great deal etc. Some can, some can't. Money frankly is likely to be the least factor for the demographic looking at these rifles in the first place.
