Anyone have any experience with the SG 543-1M? I have been looking for a 5.56 NR semi and the factory Nr Bren 2 seems like it will never come. From what I have read there is an issue with the bolt hitting the folding stock adapted causing issues since there is no relief cut that is found on the fixed stock versions.

Can anyone who has run one chime in about reliability? Also, the stock and pistol grip what are they interchangeable with? Does SG550 stocks/grips fit?

Yes, the one CSC imported last december had this issue but CSC gunsmith fixed it, id hope new production have this issue fixed from the factory.
Reliability on mine has been flawless but i have sub 200rnds so its not worth much. they are heavy as a mule with nearly no aftermarket support so your pretty much stuck with the ####ty stock and expensive mag. its a neat gun but i wouldnt buy it as my go to nr 556. pay the extra and get an apc or even an x95 if you like bullpup. converted bren 2 are the same price and would be a better option if someone want to go that way.

The SG 543 1M is brand new to Canada, never been imported before. Only the 542 1M and 540 1M was imported previously. We wanted the 543-1M (with extended barrel) so that the front end would be lighter and easier to use, as you have a short gas system and quadrail in comparison to the full-length models.

The cut-out in the stock adapter is in place from factory with ours, no drilling any anything required

Huh.. That is good info. Having just sold the 540 kinda makes your import more appealing. Front end was not light on those CSC rifles.

Sigmaco Canada has an AR buffer tube adapter available, should someone wish to go that route.
