Since its been out a while I am wondering has anyone got any comments on Durability? Has anyone ran over a few thousand rounds through one yet?

Haven't seen one in the wild yet I am looking for a Basic Rifle to replace our XCR failed investment. Has anyone tried it at high altitudes and varying weather?

Thanks

On that note do you have any for sale since I am heading to Calgary to source one next weekend and any Surplus 7.62x51?

Calgary shooting centre has the 720rd case of hirtenberger in stock. But if you want to save a few bucks, there's a calgary CGNer that still has a few cases of the stuff, just look for the EE listing.

I had to failures to feed with my 542. However, I keep a chunk of white chalk in my range bag and when ever I have a failure I mark the magazine. The second failure happened on the same magazine that I marked. I'm pretty sure it's the magazine. Kind of sucks to spend so much for a magazine and it doesn't work very well. I love the gun though. Wouldn't trade it for anything. I've put 300 rounds though mine now. The previous owner said he put about 100 rounds though it before me.

Why is your XCRM a failed investment?

Barrel Retention System Lacking cause of Most Failures and Malfunctions Rifle has seen over 3k rnds now
No Real Warranty unless you want to wait months and months for repairs so better to purchase parts and repair yourself (Have done multiple times now)
Too Tight of Tolerances in Design doesn't like 1 bit of dirt/mud and etc
Very picky with Weather and Altitude Changes
VERY VERY Picky on what ammo it likes to operate without Failures
