I just received a new Cooper tonight, and the wood turned out quite nice.

I feel like I want to punch you stubblejumber. :) Ok..just being honest. :) On a serious note, that is one spectacular looking piece of gear, congrats! Tell us more about the rifle, your plans for it, scope, etc. A rifle that nice shouldn't spend TOO much time in the safe! I recently ordered a rifle myself and was on the fence about what to get...Cooper was certainly in the running. I ended-up ordering something ALLOT less glamorous than yours, but you've inspired me to be a little more selective the next time around. Looking forward to hearing more about it.

The rifle is basically a Jackson Squirrel rifle, built with a New Zealand blank, but with an ebony fore end. I will be mounting a Kahles 3-9x42 scope tonight.

I finally got around to shooting some five shot groups at 50 yards. The conditions weren't ideal, but the rifle shows promise. I had some very nice four shot groups going, but I seemed to mess up one shot in most cases.

stubble, that stock is putting way too much torque on the action causing your poi to wander. you need to swap it out for a plywood BR stock and sell that one to me. I have a stiff action it will work in just fine.

that turned out mighty fine Sir. does it fill the void of a 40x repeater? it sure would for me.
