Just wanted to pass on a well deserved compliment to one of your hunting department employees named Kent.
Yesterday (Friday), after spending a couple of hours fruitlessly looking for some lead-shot for sale here in Alberta, I decided to phone Ellwood-Epps - the one company you can depend on to have a "real" comprehensive inventory of shooting supplies. Well, after only two rings, the phone was pleasantly answered by a person who identified himself as "Kent," and who proceeded, by manner and action, to confirm all the good things I have heard about Ellwood-Epps customer service over the years.
After Kent quickly determined that he did have lead shot in-stock, I asked Kent the stupid question: "How much would it cost to have that shipped to Calgary?" Instead of receiving the expected derisive snicker that I would have received from most retailers; Kent pleasantly asked for my phone number and said he would find out the costs, and phone me back right away. And guess what, he really did! And with the same pleasant and courteous manner, Kent reported that the shipping would cost as much as the shot itself. He rightly suggested that if I had any friends from Ontario coming to Alberta, I might be able to convince them to bring some along with them. That IS the correct solution.
Anyway, I had to bring Kent's high level of customer service to your attention, as I can assure you, it is a rare commodity theses days - especially in response to a daft phone inquiry, late on a Friday afternoon, before a long weekend!
With highest regards,
Committed Future Ellwood-Epps Customer
