Came across a Fausti 20ga sxs with beautiful wood stock, English style, nice ingravings... The asking price was $2500, not so bad at first impression but for a make I have never heard about... Oh, and the balance was amazing, it just felt perfect!

How good are those guns and who sells them in Canada? Is there anybody who has used them for some time?

Cheers!

Google Bilozir Fine Shotguns and you will find they carry some fine guns.
The Fausti offers a range of machine manufactured/hand finished, boxlock SxS and O/U shotguns in all gauges, on proportional frames. We stock a variety of models, and can accept custom orders. Prices range from $1600 to $10,000.
Wouldnt mind meeting those three fine looking Italian women either ;)
Hope that bit of info will get you going in the right direction.
Tight Chokes,
Rob

What model of Fausti was it?
They make a pretty high end gun - I've owned a Dea in 28 that is an incredble shooter , well balanced with wood picked out by Barbara Fausti herself.
They also make several OEM models for Weatherby, investarms, etc.
The weatherby 28 gauge BTW, is NOT on a scaled Fausti 28 frame, it's on a 20 gauge frame.

I've seen one in Huntsville, ON. Little store called Trapper. www.muskokatrapper.ca Not sure what the model was. It was either Conrad or Konrad. But it was in 20 GA and 12 GA. Price was 1400 and change for the 20 and 100 bucks more for a 12. They do balance really well and they looked and felt more like a 2000+ dollar Berettas.

Well, not quite. We have to be realistic. While most Faustis are good guns,, a $1400.00 gun is built to its price point. Even within the Fausti line itself, compare the $1400.00 gun to a 2000.00 + dollar Fausti and you will notice a difference. You can't just go by looks. A Mossberg silver reserve might look like a $1200-$1500.00 gun to some but it isn't worth its $600.00 price tag.

I don't know the model. The action is silver with moderately nice ingravings, grade I wood, sxs and auto ejectors. It could be a Dea?

Exactamundo!
Take a FAIR Premier and a FAIR Jubilee , and there is a world of difference.
Same as a Browning Citori Filed and a Browning 525 grade V, or a Berreta 686 field and a 687EELL! :>)
However, the quality of the workmanship would be the same in the lower grades as the higher ones - excepting maybe the special order guns.

Agreed. However, it looks and feels much better than my Beretta Onyx Pro. And since Beretta is a pretty big name on our market you can figure out how much I had to pay for it 4 years ago. I can tell the good gun from a bad one, and the Fausti is not a bad shotgun. My friend works for the store, and he said that the guns were bought as "dealer show special" that's why the price is low. And BTW don't even start me on Mossberg Silver Reserve, Savage Gold Wing and other such "shotguns" :) I would rather shoot Baikal!

I was actually looking at a Fausti or Ugartechea SXS myself, but based on previous dealings with Bilozir, he will never see another cent of mine. It's a shame, because they seem to be nice guns. I ended up buying a 20 gauge Winchester Model 23 Pigeon Grade instead. Now I have to wait until Clay from Prophet River brings it up from the USA.

I have a new Fausti sxs DEA , 20 Ga on order right now. I have met Barbara & her husband, both very knowledgeable, and yes Barbara is a very attractive married woman.
