Favorite 30-06 Load??

My loads are

Nosler 150 Bal tip or 150gr Hornady Interbond on top of 59grs of IMR 4350.

Nosler 165 Partitions over 62grs RL 22. I am shooting out all my loaded ammo B4 I load more. The goto will strictly be 165 Partitions with RL 22 in the future.

I have 2 favorites: 165 Partition in a WW case, fired by the WLR primer, fueled by 61 grains of Vihtavuori N160.
180 Partition in a WW case, fired by the WLR primer fueled by 61 grains of Norma MRP
Both these shoot under MOA in my 700SSDM, and the 165 clocks 2945, the 180 2850. Do NOT try these loads without working up from at least 3 grains below!! They are safe in my rifle, but may not be in yours. Regards, Eagleye.

Current hunting favourite:

64.0 grains Vihtavuori N560 pushing a 168-grain Barnes TSX out of a Winchester case, ignited by a WLR primer. My barrel is "slow", but that doesn't stop the above load from solidly exceeding 3,000 fps over my chronograph and shooting into about 1 inch at 200 metres. N560 is a very slow powder, possibly even a bit slower than Reloder 22, and this load actually gives fairly moderate pressure signs, with nice rounded primers. Obviously, when you start getting into these kinds of charges, however, you MUST work up carefully from below.

As you would expect, the muzzle blast and fireball from this load is comparable to a .300 Winchester Magnum.

Still, I'm now sold on N560 as the go-to powder in the .30-06 (bolt guns only) for any bullet over 165 grains.
