Favorite Brass For .300 WM

Beyond checking, weighing & culling for consistency & quality, I found Winchester a little more durable & longer lasting than most. Also, more readily available usually.

I use winchester just because its easily avalible. I havent compared brass from one manufacturer to another, but quickload software shows an incredible difference between case capacities of rem and win. so I stick with all win and dont mix and match.

I'm buying factory for now, but going to start reloading soon (keeping all brass). Should I keep buying hornady (2 boxes so far) or switch to another brand? Cost isn't that much of an issue, IF hornady is better, I'd rather pay the 3 dollars per box more to have better brass, or is winchester better and cheaper?

Nosler is the only way to go. It is good brass, concentric, chamfered case mouth, drilled and not punched flash holes and already sorted by weight. At around $75 for fifty they are a good deal if you want high quality brass and you take care of it.

I bought 100 all from the same lot and I am sold, I doubt I'll be buying lapua any more at the present prices.

I've never used Lapau brass. The only Lapau product I've ever used is their . 22LR ammo in a Walther GSP. In tests, that ammo was more accurate than anything else I tried.

I've got older Federal brass that for some reason seems to be easier to make accurate loads with. I know, that sounds stupid as hell to me too! But it's true.

The newer Federal brass seems to be kinda soft. Primer pockets loosen up way to fast. I use mostly Winchester these days also. My rifle shoots plenty accurate, about 1", and will never be a target rifle so I will likely never spend big money on brass for it.
