I thought I would add another "high end rimfire" poll, just to give guys some idea of whats the best out there.

I have not added guns like Marlins or Savages, or even CZ's to the list because I wouldn't classify these guns as High end; there more in the middle.

I wonder how many of us can actually afford to own all these high end guns and can honestly make a fair and unbiased opinion? :p  :runaway:
Maybe more than you might expect. I've owned three of the listed rifles.:D

Not one carried a full price tag of over $2,000 including scope. Compared to a decent centerfire with good glass or a middle of the road o/u shotgun, high end rimfires are a bargain.

My choice is Cooper Arms. Best of the ones that I've owned.

I'm sure they are all great shooters.
I've never seen a Remington 40X for sale.
Anschutz 54's go for too much money in most cases.
Winchester 52D's as well, doing well to get one for under a grand.
Obviously the customs would win as the most accurate - that's what the bench resters shoot.

I'd go with Walther. All mine are great shooters.
I've only got a Winchester 52 pre A, not a D. Another very impressive shooter, specially with the semi military look and sights.
And several Martini's including left and right hand Internationals. Great shooters and unique.
And none of them were more than $500, some much less.

The beauty of rimfire is anyone can afford some truly excellent firearms if they buy used.

I have owned everything on the list except the Kimber and the Cooper. I have also owned Walthers, Voeres, BRNOs, Brownings, a Ural 6-1, BSA supersport 5, Volquartsen semi, Anschutz semi, Franchi semi, and lots of exotic rimfire handguns.
I didn't buy a Kimber or a Cooper because the other rifles gave me more bang for the buck. My present favorite is a Custom CZ 611 semi converted to .17hmr with a Shilen stainless/teflon barrel and Weaver Grand Slam 8-20x40. Of the rifles listed above that I still own, my favorite is a BSA International MK II.

I voted Other. Brno #4 or otherwise known as a Brno ZKM-456....may not be a high end price compared to some but do feel it is a pretty high end rifle in quality and ability.

I got to play with a cooper classic once... The fit and finish was pretty nice! Of their current models, the Jackson Squirrel Rifle I like the best.

I wouldn't mind one of those Steyr Zephir...

The good hing with high-end rimfire, it that once you got over the $sticker shock$, you can shoot them to your hearth's content and don't have to worry about ammo $$$
