Not with everyone mind you.

You have to pass the inititiaton, become a member of the secret society, learn the password, the secret handshake and qualify for the decoder ring.

But like Eltorro says next, if I am privileged to be shown or told about another hunter's spot, I don't think it's cool to tell anyone else.

Not as often after; a guy that was shown the spot came there with is brother-in-law and he showed complete disregard to whatever we trusted him with.... couple of years after, they could have put a traffic light there....it was so crowded.

I share my favorite (found by me alone) spot with whomever I see fit, but special locations that have been entrusted to me with the (implied or expressed ) thought or request to keep them to myself..... I take with me to the grave.
If there are more guys that share a spot, one of them going out and bringing new people to that place..... sits there in ethics just under poaching...

I've taken guys up hunting and I save some spots for the last two days, if the hunting has not produced a moose. But they have to go in blindfolded.......

Sort of, I share the general hunting grounds, but only a select few get the prime watches and the tips on where to look.;) But sometimes these change from year to year anyway.

My favorite spot is on my own property... but we have lots and lots more adjacent... and I share it with about 15 other hunters... family and friends.
Every year we pick up another kid or a friend or relative.. have not had to fire anybody in a few years... better start thinning them out soon!;)

My favorite hunting spot was shared with me by a friend. For that reason, I'd never take anyone there. Having said that, we often take other hunters and youngsters along with us (when we're together). We both like introducing new shooters to the sport.

We hunt partially on private land and the two of us are the only people the land owner would recognise, so anyone going there without us would be running a big risk - the area is clearly posted "No hunting without Permission".

I would only share my hunting spot with someone that first of all has the means to get there. Then I would only share with someone that I really wish to hunt with and can trust to not bring in the troops. So having said that, I didn't vote in the poll 'cause neither yes or no applies.
