Favorite Large Thread Brake?

I'm looking for a 30 cal brake to go on a 0.9"barrel, looking at the PVA and Heathen, use would be hunting and some limited long range shooting. I'm open to other options though. Less concerned about weight than keeping overall package short (ideally no more than 4 ports). Curious what other guys are using. What are your favorite 3/4 24 TPI brakes, and why?

I'm a big fan of the Heathen. I have one in most of the varieties (some 5/8 x24, some 3/4x24) from 2 port aluminum to 3, 4 and 5 port steel ones all depending on the caliber and intended use. The aluminum one is on a carbon barrelled 7 SAUM/.308 switch barrel, have 3-port steel ones on a .308 and a .223/6 creed, have 4-ports on 6/6.5 creed and a 5-port on my .300 Norma Mag. The more ports, the more recoil reduction (obviously) but you do get more relative reduction depending on caliber/case capacity. What .30 caliber are you shooting?

It's an SBR so just 308. The heathen seems nice, and I like that its self indexing. I would probably just go with a 3 port if I went that route.

I’m going back to a Cadex MX1. I currently have a Heathen but I feel like the Cadex was more effective.

Haven't tried the PVA but currently have a Heathen 3 and 4 port brake. Highly recommend the Heathen. They are also Canadian and have great customer service.
