Got several pounds of this, not exactly sure why? Read it was good for 7.62x54, any loads in other calibers? 30'06.308.300Savage, 7mm. 7x57, 8mm, 303? Thanks!
I use it mainly in 338-06 and 375 Ruger. It's a wonderful powder for 22-250, 250-3000, 6.5 Creedmoor (120gr or lighter), 7mm-08 Rem, 7x57, 30-06 with 165gr or lighter, 303 Brit, 8x57, 338RCM, 375 HH
As per writer John Barsness, it is a very useful powder for 285/286 grain bullets in 9.3x62 - he has pressure tested loads at the Western Powders / Ramshot Powders Lab in Montana - 2,475-ish muzzle velocity. The Western Powder manual is available for downloading from Internet - Big Game powder listed for multiple cartridges. I bought it specifically for the 9.3x62, but turns out to be a fine powder for 30-06 as well.
I tested it in my 30-06 Browning BAR with 150 Sierra Pro-Hunter. 0.57 moa at 100 yards with 53.4 grains. This was the most accurate load in the Sierra book as well. As said above, it is also excellent for the 9.3x62, although I had stellar results with H4895 and two bullet weights, 210 and 286.
