I usually use my 243 with red field 4-12 and 58 gr V-max Hornady Superformance Varmint on coyotes. I picked up some 75 gr V-max to try as well.

Might try my 223 with 55 gr Varmint Express or 53 Gr superformance. Could use a better optic as well. Thinking something along the lines of a 5-25.

We have used a 243 for quite a while. It does the job and the 55 and 58 gr bullets are very accurate in it.
We aren't worried about pelt damage as most of the coyotes around here are scruffy.
That being said , I did get a nice looking one yesterday.

300 Win Mag, Tikka T3X Super Light, Cheapest 150gr I can find-usually Hornady Whitetail., Leupold VX3HD 4.5x14.

I’ve shot coyotes with just about everything; but if the question is favorite it’s my Kimber Varmint in 22/250 with 4.5-14 VX-3 side focus and B&C reticle. I wanted something that shot like a heavy barrel and carried and handled like a sporter.. I’m not sure how long I’ve had it now, but its early enough that it still has a 2 position safety. Nearly 25 years I guess; keep coming back to it.

Yea, can’t go wrong with the 22-250, it ain’t called the laser for nothing;)

Use 55 grain or so with 3-9 scope and it will generally be more of a gun what a lot of people can shoot distance wise.

Friend of mine takes out coyotes to 500 meters no problem and the only reason he cant shoot further is because the fields are not flat.

Fast-twist (1:8) Tikka CTR .223 with 75gr’ers of your choice; slightly overscoped with something like a Nightforce SHV 5-20x56

Ruger M77 Mark II .22 BR with Leupold VX-3 4.5-14X40 Varmint reticle, loading 53 V-Max bullets. Next would be a Ruger M77 Mark II Sporter .223 with same scope and bullet.

I’ve been having fun with my 6.5 creedmoor tac a1 for coyotes. I can cover the whole field and it’s cheap to shoot / reload

Sako VLS in 204 Ruger topped with a Zeiss conquest 4X14X40 shooting 35gr Bergers is my main calling rifle. Browning BSS or Cooper model 52 VLS topped with a Zeiss 5x25x50 both in 204 Ruger see some action. Have 4 223s and 2 222s that I have taken for coyotes but don't seem to lean their way much these days. Same with my 22-250s and 6mms, just don't seem to get used. thinking it is time for another purge.
