What’s everyone’s favourite 12 gauge field loads? 1 1/4 and 1 3/8oz loads? I used to load shot shells years ago and I am planning to get back into it. I have 2 3/4” federal gold medal hulls. Looking for some fast loads that pattern well for turr hunting. Years ago I used to have a load with 38gr of blue dot with a 1 3/8oz load that would hit them pretty hard.

It depends so much on the components that you have available. What I like and what you can find in your gun store during this crazy period of shortages, is likely two different things. I suggest you just log on to the Hodgdon data manual online, see what looks good for Gold Medal hulls, and go shopping for wads and primers and powder. Good luck!
