Favourite an least favourite stages

So as I read through the next ORPS course of fire I got to thinking. What’s your favourite barricade or style of stage to shoot. And the flip side what’s your least favourite.

For me maybe an unpopular opinion, but I really enjoy the standing unsupported stages( I Don’t always score well on them but really enjoy that style of shooting). I also like the tank trap and the saw horse and even the 45gal barrel in any orientation. But I hate that damn chair, the ladder and tires the most, mostly just find shooting that medium height too low to kneel too high for prone very difficult. Bit limited on flexibility with one my legs so puts minor limits on my positions but mostly just slows me a bit.

anything that requires yoga is poor for me :)
my ass gets dirtier than my knees it seems

bricks, chair, buckets, all get the big bag down to raise the rifle position higher
Pyramid is okay as there are usually enough options for some hits, ladder not so many
My weak-side needs more work

Last weekend I shot the wood pyramid barricade for the first time. My take was that it was basically the same as a 6' A-ladder.

Though I prefer the ladder as the rungs are longer. The bag gets more contact and it steadies the rifle more.

What do you see as the difference between ladder and pyramid?

I think the pyramid is a bit easier to get rifle situated, it’s less awkward I find. But I feel the ladder with its wider steps offers slightly more stability maybe.

I also enjoy the weak side stages oddly and have taken to shooting a couple groups weak side most range trips. Again don’t always do well on these but enjoy the challenge. I think the first weak side stage I shot I only got 1 impact. But oddly the first stage I ever cleared was a lefty shooting stage.

Pyramid has positions outside on the wings that are easier to transition, the spots between the legs are similar to the ladder for sure
depending how much you like to lean into the prop, the ladder can be less stable

good shooting on that weak side stuff
might be a gimic but for weak side, I slip a plastic Eley box lid behind the strong-eye side of my glasses to block that eye
then it seems more natural to pick up the target in the scope....for me, ymmv
