My supply of wildcats is dwindling but of those left I'll take the 7-300 Win. It's got a lot going for it; abundant brass, no need for muzzle brakes in portable rifles, or need for custom dies, COAL/Mag-box compatability with long and slippery bullets, and being about all the powder you should reasonably try to shove down a .284 hole anyway. If you don't mind wrecking your brass you could shoot 7 Rem in it in pinch (But you never heard that from me) Mine's a 26" 1-8"and keeps up with a 28" STW that I use the same 180 VLDs in. It also kills the hell out of things if that matters to you at all. I like using mine silenced and watching the bullets hit unhappy goats.
Or the .338 Edge; in a 15 pound rifle sort of way. Can't not like it.
