Got my new bench build in 6BR home yesterday and discovered it is too long to fit in any of my cases. It’s 52” so need something with at least 54” of interior room. Any suggestions, hard case or soft, with room for large mounted scope? Site sponsors feel free to chime in if you offer such a beast.

I like my pelican, and am going to upgrade again once I get my back up gun built so i can carry both in the same case.
I would message forum member Maynard, if he misses this, and doesn’t post. Himself, and a couple others that travel to the west indies each year have a realllllly nice case. I’m just drawing a blank on the brand.
For soft cases. One of the bald eagle cases is top notch.

I now use a pelican vault V800, fits my FTR with a bit of room to spare, spec says its 53" inside. They're on sale now on cabelas for only $186.99, was $249.99 when I got mine. Its free shipping too, hell of a deal for a very solid case.
I doubt there's a better case on the market for that price.

Canadian Tire huntshield fits my long gun, have a 26'' barrel with a muzzle brake.

I never carry my hardcase to be honest, only when we travel 3-4 guys, then I put my soft case in my hardcase before giving my rifle a truck bed ride

Just talked to Cabelas and got them to measure the Pelican V800, the foam part is only 51” so a no go for that one.

I just went to open an measure mine to make sure, foam is 53.5" x 16.5"
I'd say either they can't use a measuring tape or measured the wrong case.

I have an SKB double rifle case that I use when flying somewhere. It fits my 52" long target rifle, spotting scope stand, cleaning rod and some cleaning supplies. It is double layer so there is plenty of room for a layer of 700-800 once fired Lapua cases for the trip home.

Armageddon Gear makes a nice soft rifle case (Precision Rifle Case) that I really like and it comes in 2 lengths, 52" and 58" (which should work for you).
For a hard case, I use a Pelican 1750 which should also do the trick for you.

Local CT had the Huntshield in stock, so armed with my tape measure, I brought it home. About 3/4 of an inch at each end of the foam to spare. Gun is actually 50.5”View attachment 296890
