Yes, looks like his chin is the shell deflector.

Is it just me or does the rifle look like an ACR with an ambi charge handle and a slightly different forend? Looks like a cool fluted barrel though and almost no recoil or muzzle rise.

It looks a LOT like an ACR. No idea what the internals are, but I'm sure Bushmaster's legal department is having a very good look.
 
I heard it was supposed to go into production two years ago -- looks like they found some bugs ;)

I remember a long while back there was already discussion about who could import one, but that never went anywhere since the product was still in prototype phase. Perhaps next year we might see it fielded and a commercial variant might come to be.

Then again, Poland might need every last rifle since Russia might be knocking on their doorstep!!
 
Does anyone know if that is the same gun IO had the plastic mock-ups of at shot show?

What the deal with that little back spin those guys are doing when leap frogging down the firing line? I get that muzzle flashing is a no-no but the back spin looks a little slow and silly. Or is the idea to keep 360' awareness?

No idea, they have to fight off g36 or g38, arx 160 , fn scar and others in both trial and price point. The French solicitation is based on price once the best 3 or 5 chosen.
