According to recent interview with FB Radom Managing director factory is considering restarting Mauser vz.29 production. Main market would be Polish drill teams, collectors and sport shooters. No price named so far? Not cheap most likely

The drill teams need new rifles, they want something Polish. They were talking about vz. 29 or Maroszek M-38 semi-auto rifle. He said that they decided on Mauser vz.29 due to proper documentation and existing equipment

Another option is to see how many captured wz.29's the Russians have in storage from WWII. My guess is the crates are in between the Ross rifles and G43's.

The last I saw in early 1989, weapons dump in Bydgoszcz Poland had 20 on hand. Mixture of vz 29 and Polish mad 98 carbines ( the ons with full stock). They were kept there on behalf Industrial Guard/Security service. Bydgoszcz dump is still operational and still used as rear echelon storage. They may be still there.
Russian still probably have them in Storage. They captured over 150000 of them, and unknown catch of Mausers and various French rifles from stores in Brest Litovsk Fortress stores ( it was a major weapons dump for Polish reserve army they never got to use them) Germans only were there for two days probably never moved anything.
