Day two is done with seven stages completed for our squad...
Once again US AMU is running one of the best 3 gun events there is.
Yesterday we enjoyed some belt fed SAW action as part of stage three... Today's first stage, seven included a little bit o' M203 action.
Tomorrow we'll finish up with some trench clearing, catch a ride to an off site stage in a Striker AV for some long range rifle foolishness...

Weathers been great.. 20 degrees today :)

A few shooters have posted video over on the Brian Enos forum

I taped all the stages... I'll post some after I edit out the suck. ;-)

A couple o' vids...

Stage 9 rifle/pistol. The rifle portion pwned me so all I'll show is what I managed to do after I gave up on the rifle targets

Cruel... a steel plate in front of a no-shoot.

Stage 3 reqired shooters to shoot 20 rounds from a SAW... 'Had to knock down at least one of three steel targets before moving to their shotgun to do some CQB room clearing with shotgun and 22 slugs.

SAW targets...

I look forward some of this fun somehow ending up in next year's ODPL matches!

'Get all sorts of ideas from these matches...
Unfortunately club rules, cfo rules and a few other factors I won't mention prevent me from running much of what I'd like to.

Sad.

Yeah, I imagine digging a little maze of trenches would generally be frowned on in most clubs.

Yeah but you can get a very similar effect with a series of barricades and or barrels. I have seen diagrams of stages set up this way.

I think I will cook up something like that for our next multigun match.

Oh yeah, of course you can simulate the trenches with barrels and whatnot. But it's still not as cool as the video of running around in the trenches.

Hey Eagle-1 that trench thing reminded me of that outdoor shoot years ago when a blizzard hit. Hell I tramped down the range until it started to look like trenchs with that waist high snow......oh you were all toasty in the indoor range on that one...nevermind old man. lol

For sure.

Couple of hours with a backhoe and you are good to go :)

I suppose if you had enough room on your range something like this could be set up permanently. Use part or all of it for different stages. Need a lot of room though.

Okay... Someone dig a trench and then someone else get us a Striker, an M203 launcher, a S.A.W.,and we'll get started.
We'll also have to bend our heads around running a range on "big boy" rules.

FYI if anyones up for it... BRM3G apps will be opening next week for new shooters...
