2023 match season appears will be far different than in the past. If multi gun matches are put on using bolt action/lever action rifles, shotguns and handguns, would you attend? Or is this discipline dead?

i shot a 3 gun last summer with a lever action Marlin, a double barrel shotgun, and a double action revolver tons of fun. And did not come last either. middle of the pack about. yup. doable

I actually shot a 3 gun match last year in Milo with my Wild Bunch guns (yes, I'm a Cowboy shooter) with a Uberti M73 Carbine, a Norinco M97 pump shotgun and my Series '70 1911. I had a ball, came close to last place in overall time, but I was using 100+ old designs and the majority of shooters were half my age.

We'll keep going for as long as we can, the core group of people at the CDTSA love the sport too much to just roll over at the first (Or second, third, fiftieth) hurdle. If all this BS actually passes, one of the possibilities is that the rimfire divisions become the most popular. Not likely to see a lot of manually operated guns, but you never know. I shot a match last year with my Henry .38/.357 lever gun (Made some fancy PEX tubing mag loaders, lol), came in 8th out of 36. But it really really was just for sh!ts and giggles. I didn't expect to do overly well.

Can one of our site sponsor dealers bring in a lot of Rem 7615 pump pls?

edit...never mind..quick google search shows that these are ridiculously expensive now.
Why?? Can maybe some Turkisch company clone some in the <1000 price range?

Too bad the trade sanctions prevents us from getting Putin to start up another run of (Kalashnikov) Saiga KSZ-223 for us :)

Our Galt3gun group is the same. We will do what it takes to keep playing and having fun. Some people stopped coming out once their AR was banned - the rest of us adapted and carried on and still have a lot of fun. And some of those having fun ended up pretty proficient with a different platform, not such a bad thing.

AR was banned, bought a PCC. PCCs are being banned. Bought an MRA Renegade.

I've seen guys compete PPC match with a lever Henry in 38 Special. Multiple times people bring their 3 shot hunting shotgun.

Matches i attend in SSW Ontario or Michigan don't offer prizes based on where you place. If any prizes it's a random draw. Maybe eventually I'll attend a real prize match. But I'm there to have fun. As long as i don't DQ, I'm shooting and having fun!

I think many people will adapt.

Thats when you ask for a handyCap divide your time by your age

Some folk are seriously fast emptying that lever gun downrange, but it seems to me that needing to reload on the clock if the stage wants more than ten rounds would be its downfall. This would be what pulled your time back?

Should be able to quad-load the 97 with a bit of practice, and multi should allow the shotgun racks that facilitate grabbing stacked rounds. Can't do that in Cowboy!

And of course there are still only two kinds of semiauto pistol, the 1911 and the ones that want to be a 1911 when they grow up.

Yeah I really screwed up with the Remington 7615.
I knew where 2 were available for years and as soon as I was ready for one, they had sold. About $1200 new at that time.

try starting your own gun factory and make them locally for that price...

Fish bonker, knife, and bow.

Let's be clear. The Fish Bonker is a competitive model with a serial number, registered with the CFO.

The RCMP, now has nothing to do since gun crime was eliminated in 2022 and 2023.

Meanwhile, back in a private lake in Northern Quebec surrounded by the entire complement of JTF2 members (one White, one female, one First Nation, and one Hindu) PM Trudeau sips imported wine from the grape groves in Northern Siberia. "I think I will do an OIC eliminating elections. The citizens will go for it as it will save money and help reduce any deficit that failed to balance by itself last year." bemuses JT. "What do you think Bill (Blaire)
