Feasibility of running multi gun matches with a bolt action or lever action rifle.

I haven’t been able to get to Milo for any matches in a couple of years but our small group of die hards have continued shooting weekly 3 gun sessions in Lethbridge. We all miss our AR15s but I plan on shooting my MCR until i can’t. If things really get dire, I’ll have to use my Troy PAR. From there I’ll look into a lever action.

It’s been expensive buying rifles that get prohibited but I like to shoot. We’ve lost shooters that have become so frustrated with the OIC and now C21 but I plan to keep shooting until there are no options available.

I hope that people in Ontario and Quebec come to their senses to get this illogical, dishonest, hypocritical, government out of office eventually but in the meantime I’ll renew my range membership, make another donation to the CCFR and the CPC and continue to shake my head at the ignorant ramblings of Liberal supporters.

There are pump and side action rifles by Troy (Troy PAR, Troy SAR) that do take .223 Stanag magazines. Very AR-15 format/layout but obviously NR for manual action.

MRA renegade is a Canadian made straight pull .223 rifle also in an AR-15 layout.

EDIT: If more things get banned I'm still going to do 3/2/1 gun, not going to give up that easy. :( expensive though

I will bet the MRA and Troy manual offerings will be added shortly due to being a variant in their deranged minds.

The 7615 is crazy expensive in every market. There would be huge demand in the US as well. Turkey can make decent shotguns, not sure why nobody is making these rifles over there. Make them all fuddy for us Canadians, with the tactical bits as an upgrade.
 
Yup, it is still feasible. At Brandon MB 3 Gun matches, lots of people have used bolt/lever action rifles. Any manual action rifle is a single hit on paper to neutralize, vs. 2 with a semi. I'll still be making it to 3/2/1 gun matches, even if I have to use my break action combination gun.
 
It will be until they ban the use of handguns anywhere and add levers to their list. If you live in the opting out provinces just go play like you always have.
