Ive located a bunch of primers and have to choose if I want the Fed 205's or CCI 400's?? Ive got 1and 1/2 case of Fed 205 M and they are good but have heard CCI are fairly decent. Im going to be using them in my .204 Ruger.

Cheers!!

Fed's for a bolt action, CCI's for a semi action is my vote.

Ultimatley they will both make the ammo go boom so no matter what one u get, you can still make ammo :D

Fast forward to tomorrow......"Yesterday, there was a bunch of primers. Probably 20 x 1000 of Federal 205's and CCI 400's. I didn't know which ones to chose so I went home to think about it and ask you guys. I went back today and they were sold out and they don't know when they're getting more in !!! DAMN !!!!"

If you have a choice, go with the Federals. I had a bunch of ammo in which I used CCI large pistol primers. Only 2 out of 3 went off properly. Now, that being said, I'm still leaning on the powder, but I can't prove it. It was discoloured, but didn't burn properly. The bullets were being popped about 1 inch down the barrel of my 44 mag. Lots of what looked like half burnt powder granuals were everywhere. Like I said....I can't say if it was the powder or the primers. I've never had a load using Federal primers not go bang.
