Federal 150gr .270win exp

Hey guys just looking for experience with the Federal Blue box 150gr SPRN for hunting ?

Had to settle on these for now but with fallow an red deer rut around the corner im not really happy about their trajectory at 300m with around 15inch drop, anything further is no go for me.

had trouble with accuracy until i ran a patch thru the barrel an it shot MOA 3shot out of my m700 sps

but it is what it is for now an am keen to hear your thoughts .

i would think you will have no problems with that load. plenty tough for deer.

Geez, ive had a rough bit of shooting with these bullets...

At first i thought my gun didnt like them, then i thought it was the 150gr in general...
I ran a patch through the barrel an shot a .8moa 3 shot group.. an from there re sighted walking it in with 2 shots.

Then just today i thought i would sus em out again as i got another Box of the same bullets..
Although i ran another patch through the barrel before beginning this group..

It shot
1st to the left, an 2nd and 3rd to the Right around 1/2inch in Elevation.

I adjusted from the 2nd an 3rd shot, Up and Left.. One more shot printed 'perfect'.

* barrel is fairly warm by now*

So i shot a Bullet from the new batch, it printed High at 100m target, an i missed the 300m target (so i forgot the 300m for now)

I then thought FMD here we go again, shotgun pattern.

I then fired a 3 shot group, allowing the barrel to not feel warm at all, airing it out on the atv as i drove around for 5 mins each time.

They printed 'in the ball park' an just over an inch group........

I know they are not perfect, as it is my shooting which would be sending them a little bit here an there but a majority of the shots feel good, as i lay prone on a swag, forend was resting on the sleeping bag early in the piece, then i sat it up on a piece of pipe for a more solid rest.
please note the Sling is attatched, i try have it in the same place, evenly under the foreend.

Whats your thoughts on this? Satisfactory for a standard Remington 700 SPS with standard factory ammo?
