Federal American Eagle 9mm

My wife is shooting American Eagle 124 gr and 147 gr. Of the two, she and the gun prefer the latter. Very clean burning stuff. Buy all you can get.

Recoil for the 147 gr is more of a push than being "snappy" as in the 124 or 115 gr, basically feels like less kick. The main reason is because the 147 gr is a slower bullet than the other 2.

My Russian Viking shoots (by various operators) 147gr dead on at 25 meters while 115gr bullets drop by about 6". According to a ballistic data should be the other way around. I'm puzzled.

I'm amazed you can feel the difference. I shoot mostly AE 147 gr through my sig p226. But 115 gr is often easier to find, so I shoot that on occasion too. I really can't feel the difference.
