Federal ammo nogo in ruger semis

Tried some Federal "Gold Metal target ammo in my MkIII 22/45 lite the other day and after the first 2 rounds it would not eject and even had the extractor slip over one round. This was not one in a mag but every round. Figured I'd have to follow the crowd and remove the loaded chamber indicator. Then I remembered my ancient 10/22 acted up last fall so tried some in it. Same thing every round.
So as I had at least 5 different makes and types of ammo with me I spent the rest of the afternoon at the range testing both guns. Not one failure.
Anyone else with similar issue?
 
I'm guessing that since it's SV it doesn't have the guts to cycle your weapons. That would include the return power to catch the rim properly on occasion. Best for bolt action accuracy. My Savage 64 and Marlin 60 both choke on it frequently but my B22 does 1/2" often. Very accurate when in the proper guns.
