Federal Auto Match .22 Ammo AVAILABLE

Heads up for anyone who is looking for a source of Fed AM .22 ammo: Bass Pro in Calgary has it in stock for $18.99 a box. I just picked up 20 boxes (10 for me and 10 for a friend).

I have found it to be quite accurate in my DAR 22. However I think it is mislabelled since it is, in my experience, a very good bulk ammo not really "match" ammo.

I tried it in my Savage BTVS and managed a 3" group at 50 yards!! I hope it cycles my semi handguns or I am going to have to give it away:-(

RWS made some 25 and 32 rimfire back a few years ago.
They make some great musket and No 10 or 11 caps, for black powder guns I have been using it for over 20 years.

I know that different guns like different ammo, but I am shocked at this accuracy. I can get 3/8" groups at 50 yards using Fed AM in my DAR-22. It also cycles very well in every semi auto .22 I have including my GSG pistol that is quite picky.

I tried it in my CZ455 HB with good results at 50 yards. 350 for $20.

I got: 0.8", 1.36", 1.93", 0.75", 1.48", 1.95", and one last group at 1.7". Cycled 100%. I wanted to love this ammo, because P&D had a pile of it, but I just couldn't get great groups out of it. For that price range, I got better results from Win M22 and Win 333. YMMV.

There is probably 200+ boxes left. Went there yesterday afternoon and bought 10, will probably go buy more tomorrow. Side note, they have a good deal on 12 or 20 gauge 100 round packs of Winchester on sale, you can only buy 2 at a time though.

Federal has not manufactured anything decently close to match standard, since the 1988 Olympics were held in LA.

IMO the only good stuff comes from European sources.

Picked up 1/2 dozen boxes today. Still plenty left. Better price than the bricks of Rem Golden Bullets No Sale has for $47.
