Federal brass question

The case on the left has a crimped in primer (as is, I think, the one on the right, kinda hard to tell with that lighting).

There is no dimensional difference between 5.56x45 cases and .223 Remington cases. The differences are in the chamber and how the case is loaded.

Both cases have crimped primers, the recessed ring you see is the crimp that runs around the entire primer pocket.

Thank you Biged, that's what I thought.

I know Federal brass has a bad reputation but I only load .223 loads that are not close to max. I've loaded Federal brass in the past up to 3 times with no issues whatsoever. I shoot them in my Ar for plinking and CQB matches.
