Federal Fusion

was wondering if any one has used Federal Fusion and likes or dislike it? I picked up a box of 7mm Rem Mag Federal Fusion in 150 grain and want to try it at the range. If it shoots better than my Federal Premium Nosler Partitions, i might give them a try in the fall.

But what im looking for is if any used them on deer, moose or elk last year.

they are a bonded bullet supposedly, with a skived tip. Whenever i try to find info on the "on game preformance" all i hear is the word "Deer"

I have tried a box of Federal Fusion in .243 Win. I am achieving 1.5" 3-shot groups @ 100 meters so I am more than happy with the accuracy. I will be using them this fall for deer. The Fusion website states the bullets are optimized for expansion on deer so you may not want to use them on a large moose or elk, IMHO.

i tried a box as well today, and my gun does NOT like them whatsoever

fired some more 160 grain Nosler Partitions and i was back on track, lol. I decided not to fix what is not broke.

I have tried some 150's in my .270 and it loves them, all groups were under 1". Did some bullet testing as well and got some good results. I usually reload, but also like to play with factory ammo now and again.

But every rifle likes different bullets for different reasons. Good to hear you found something that is working better for ya.
