Does anyone know where i can find the best price on federal ammunition. I'm trying to find the premium vital shock in a 180gr with a barnes mrx on top of it in 300WSM. The only place i've found it is at S.I.R.

Isn't the MRX quite new? It might take some time for loaded ammo to become readily available. In the meantime, there's always handloads. Or you could try Winchester XP3's or the older failsafe style - same sort of idea as the MRX

anybody who shoots factory ammo doesnt shoot enough to capitalize on the advantages a long range bulllet offers

Try Federal .416 Rigby at $167 a box.:eek: I agree that precious few shooters of factory fodder will shoot enough to matter. 223 and a few other calibers can be notible exceptions though, it can be hard to match the price handloading.
