Federal Steel shotgun shell powder burns my eyes

Does anyone else notice that Federal shotgun steel hunting shells have a super dirty powder that burns your eyes.

I am wondering what shells to use this fall for waterfowl, i have had issues with Challenger and Score but wld use either. I will never use Federals again.
 
Can't say I've ever had Federal shells burn my eyes, they can be dirty i find. I'm assuming you are speaking of the blue box shells? I'm curious are you left handed shooting a right hand gun? I'm a lefty and have shot mostly right handed shotguns most of my life. The only time I've ever noticed debris or gas bothering me was shooting Challenger out of auto-loaders, never in any of my o/u's or sxs's. I now shoot mostly Kent or Hevi-Shot and find both to be very clean and do not experience any debris coming back at me.
 
How about shooting glasses? Had no Federal blue box steel shell ever "burn" my eyes, lol.

And in my guns they shoot as good as any of the way more expensive offers given you choose the right choke.
