Ive run into a bunch of Federal XM193F 5.56 ammo and I've been told its quite rare in Canada. Just curious if any has an idea on what it's worth and any other info etc

To you it is worth alot. Because you want to make PROFIT. You want to charge MORE than the ammo is worth.

To me. It is .223 that puts holes in paper. BIG DEAL.

I can get 1600 rounds for $399. or Federal Tactical $335 per 1000.

Somehow...people think that. shooting 5.56 makes their rifle more 'AWSOME'

.223 put the same hole in the paper at 25 meters....50...100...whatever.

Take a friggin breath there rivet. I'm curious to know if I'm paying to much. So calm down and I'd like to know where your finding .223 for that cheap. Norc is $450/1600 and AE tac is $400/1000. It's guys like you that are bringing down CGN. Jump down a guys throat for asking a question and have assumptions of your own.

Gagnon is selling a case of 500rds in the white boxes (20rds X 25 boxes) for $240. Does that help any?

Fact: Mil-spec 5.56 is a hotter round with higher velocities. It's made that way to kill critters -- two-legged under military conditions -- at greater distance than normal .223. XM193F is a great round but obviously more expensive than Norinco surplus. But it is new production and therefore "fresher" and better suited for long-term storage.

The $240 plus shipping to me isnt a bad price. But Im getting this stuff for $8.49 a box So even with tax its a bit cheaper then Gagnon. But again. Thanks for the info Bigfooter

That is good ammo with decent brass. Hotter pressures for sure and I believe that those are Lake City 55 grain bullets. They yaw nicely and leave decent holes in stuff when the velocity is still high enough. Good grab.

It's ok Death. Rivet is infamous for his over the top responses. Whatever he sais, I usually do the opposite. :)

No offense Rivet. :D
