Yes it's funny and true! But in all seriousness folks: i want one of these. 2 of these! (One stashed for a rainy day). Can anyone give there overall opinion on the xm855

Clean?
Reliable?
Decently accurate?

It should be all three ("DECENTLY" accurate being the word). I bought a box.

However, I say "should" because it bears the "X"M855. which means it is a Gov order M855 that did not meet the inspector's requirement, and so were designated "X", hence XM855, and cannot be used to supply a Gov order. According to threads like this one:http://www.razoreye.net/mirror/ammo-oracle/AR15_com_Ammo_Oracle_Mirror.htm#xm193mil , it could be something as benign as the 'green' tip not being 100% painted right on an inspected sample, causing a whole production lot to be rejected... Or it could be a production over-run that was sent directly to the civilian market, and the mfg's skipped some gov inspection, hence, the renaming with the "X"...
