Hi guys, i got a Norinco JW 22lr or i can call it copy of Browning SA22, but i was told it has problem of feeding cartridges.
The problem is that it just dumps all the ammo once I pull back the charging handle. It seems it doesnt have any cartridges stop there, but I do see there's scratch on the bullet from hair spring, and the there is cartridge stop in the slot.

anyone experience same issue before?
thx

Not me but saw itpointedout on YouTube. The little holdback spring you mentioned is not doing its job. Take out the mechanism and post a photo. I think the problem will be obvious after that. Just needs the spring adjusted or replaced I suspect.

Take it apart and check that the interrupter is present above the bolt.
Odd looking little part, it rides in the groove on the bolt to allow a single cartridge at a time to feed.
Dead easy to miss it falling out and will cause exactly that to happen.

Edit: proper name per the browning parts diagram, maybe not a coincidence, is Cartridge Stop.
My nickel says yours is missing, or possibly bent or broken.

here is the picture of it. there is a stop in slot, but now i am looking around to see if I can find any same part, then compare them to see any bent or deforming.

I try to load some cartridges in tube mag without the bolt carrier, if cartridge stop is switched on, then second cartridge is hold there after i push out first cartridge. but if i put bolt carrier in, all the cartridge fly out once bolt carrier reach the backend. i am still trying to learn how this mechanism works.

Just to show the linked OP pic without people having to open another window

Does your Cartridge guide spring look like this? the short 90 deg hook should be going through a small hole and sticking out slightly towards where the cartridges pass. It's hard to see in your picture because that area is too dark to see.

Thank for mentioning that one, it does protrude out a little bit and leave scratch mark on every one cartridge.

I just notice, the “stick/axle/cylinder“ on cartridge stop, there is grinder marker on the top of stick, which shorten it quite a bit, and now the little stick is same height as sear. But I can see that stick is always higher than the sear on picture on internet.

My assumption would be Shorten stick make the stop closer to the top of receiver, further away from bolt carrier, and bolt carrier is cant at some degree, so that the cartridge stop could come out of groove when carrier is pushed back, which let all the cartridge fly out.

I will try to get hold on another stop, or m thinking I can put epoxy on top of stick, make the stick longer Then try it, to see if that’s the cause.

Load a couple rounds in the mag tube and check the cartridge stop for function. Should be really easy to see what is going on, with the barrel removed.
Pull the cartridge stop out, or shake it out, and compare it to the pictures available on line. Search images for Browning SA22 Parts Diagram. Lots of pics out there.
I would not be surprised if a part of the stop is missing up inside the mag tube. It should hold the rounds in the tube, until the bolt is fully forward, IIRC.
