"...cost per 20?..." Usually sold in 50 round boxes. May be somewhat difficult to find these days due to the rifle being restricted. Marstar wants $224.25 per 500 for Winchester FMJ's. Sold out though.
"...load hot, the gun will break..." Nope. My load is half a grain under max. No problems a bath didn't fix in 30 years.
"...H110..." A Hodgdon powder made for the carbine, after W.W. II. Original powder was Hercules .30 Carbine Powder and Western Cartridge Co. 'Ball Powder'.
I use 110 gr RN with H110 powder. As said easy to reload.
Most sporting goods shops with have factory ammo in 110 Gr.
Also not all M1's are restricted.
This thread and the lack of local .30 carbine makes me regret not keeping my brass after shooting. Oh well.
