Has anyone here gotten such a great deal on a rifle that you almost feel guilty afterwards ?? (this is not a to brag post, but a getting off my chest post !!lol), recently a guy I know posted he was selling some firearms because he needed to raise some money (legal stuff I geuss) and he was in a hurry. One of the rifles he posted was a Norc. m305 with 3 5/20 mags, cleaning kit, wooden USGI stock, M8a1 bayonet with sheath, sling and a box of ammo. I asked what he wanted for it and he just said "make me an offer"......well I wasn't really "looking" for one but new roughly what they where going for, so I just threw an absurd low price out there thinking ..."theres no way"...so I said "I don't know....$300?", the email I got back was "when do you want it ?"...SCORE..but I feel bad. seeing as its a guy I know, I offered that if in the next year he wants it back/has some extra cash he can buy it back for the same price. Anyone else been there ?, I love the deal but almost feel like I took advantage of him. (the rifle is in excellent shape and he bought it new). WHEW I feel better...TIME TO GO SHOOTING !!!!!

Good karma right there , its gonna come right back at you.
Guys in a bind, help him out, and hey, he might not even want the gun back.

Been there saw the low price and gave more. Its only money you'll get more. Helping a brother out is worth more at times then scoring a "great deal". Good idea on the sell back offer. Good on ya

I helped out a friend in a similar way. He was hard up for cash and was selling ALL of his firearms. One of which he was particularly fond of, a side-by-side 10ga worth about 2g. I couldn't afford to pay him what it was worth so I made him a deal. I gave him $700 on the condition that as soon as his feet were back under him, whether it be 6 months or 5 years, he can buy it back at any time for the same price. Only condition on my end was that I got to shoot it. He bought it back about a year and a half later and I'm happy he didn't have to watch his prized possession fall into the hands of someone else because he had fallen on hard times.

Be good about things and life will be good in return.

Yeah, I know what it's like. I have a friend that over pays all the time and doesn't barter on price so I've just got him to tell me when he's in the market and what for, then I find the deal, broker it and then tell him how much and who to pay :)

I once got a full wood P17 with an excellent bore for $250 bucks from a gunshop. Saw the price on the tag and paid it with no hesitation. It is my favourite, best shooting milsurp.

Good on the OP for such a generous offer to the seller.

Kinda not the same thing but I remember a time a few years back.... I had built was to be my ultimate keeper m14 and at same time had all my chips in on my business ventures and my rottweiller pup got a critical illness at 9 weeks old. 4000.00 to save him. Guy from here dropped 2900 cash without a blink and bought my prize M14. Dog survived, he's sleeping on the couch as I type this LOL
I always regretted sellin the rifle, but happier to save the dog. The cooler part is, the guy who bought it , a couple years later, agreed to sell it back to me.
Very cool ;)

You did right there. Be good to that guy, never know when it might be you selling things to make ends meet. And in that time karma will come into play.

A guy at work is selling me his sporterized Enfield for 100 bucks. Felt bad so offered case of beer on top of it haha.
