Hey Anthony. Not necessarily set on 12 gauge. I was actually thinking 20 gauge originally because she’s pretty petite (5’7”/120) and new to shooting. But her female firearms instructor suggested 12 gauge with recoil reducer. She will just be shooting skeet’s with me.Small framed female?
Are you set on 12ga?
Any suggestion on a youth or female model?A gas operated gun to reduce felt recoil
Thank youDefinitely not a Kel Tec. I'd recommend a Mossberg Mariner with the 20" barrel or a 14" barrel Mossberg Shockwave with a stock. There are pistol grip stocks. Knoxx has a springing recoil reducing one, but it's pricey. Not much recoil with a normal OEM butt or ATI AR style one, even gen 1 old ones. Open loading gate is easy on the fingers, especially in the cold. Quicker to top off.
Thanks. Can you tell me what you like about this Euro model, please?
Thanks. I’ll take a look at that.A beretta a400 series with the kick off system
Sx4 compact 20ga fit my small framed girl nicely. I haven't got one (yet), but worth looking at.Hey Anthony. Not necessarily set on 12 gauge. Thanks for the response. I was originally thinking 20g. However, the female firearms instructor she recently had recommended a 12g with recoil reducer. She will only be using this for recreational skeet shooting.Id suggest a browning maxus very light shooting and an excellent gun, however i think one in 20g would be best. Some people will say its a bit light for geese or deer but loaded with slugs more than adequate imo.

Thank you. That’s what her instructor mentioned as well. I was originally concerned about recoil so thought 20g. But instructor said 12g with reducer and lighter load.Slip on squishy recoil pad / limbsaver and birdshot she would be fine with any 12 gauge
Once comfortable give her some buck , then later slugs
