Fiber Optic Front Sights for IPSC Standard

I want to replace the front sight on my Valtro with a fiber optic sight. I use this gun in IPSC Standard Division. As there seems to be quite a few different makes, what brand should I be looking for and costs? Or are they all the same and just go with whatever the local gunsmith has in stock or available.

What colour do you like? I was thinking of green but what do you think is the best for fast target acquisition?

Both colours are fine. Best to try them out to see which one works better for you.

i like red better as w/ the green it needs certain amount of light before it seems to alight, my 2 cents

So are they all the same and brand doesn't matter? Are they all made of plastic?

The sites are made of metal and the fibre optic part is some type of plastic. I have seen a few differant brands and Armco's are what I like. Give Gunner a call he may know what type of material the fibre optic is.
