In Feb 05 I ordered and received a Fiberglass stock from Gun Parts Corp , no problem . What I would like to know is ....is it still posible to order these stocks from them??? as anyone done so lately. I have a couple of new M-305 owners who would like to remove the Norinco Mystery Wood stock ;) and intall a fiberglass one like mine.
Thanks
Bob

Gun Parts Co in the US?? if you are looking for more, Ardent on this Board has a few 4 sale...Personally, I prefer wood but that's just me..
Airborne!

Yep, I've got about 20 at the moment, one USGI walnut left the rest USGI fiberglass. See my post in the exchange of parts and bits for details. :) As for stocks from the US, it may be doable, but it's technically now illegal (concerning the US) if done without papers with the US's export permit requirements, which costs $ and lots of time.

So would you need export papers even for one birch stock valued at $35? I can't recall if items under $100 are still exempt. I know vendors won't ship to Canada, but I was thinking of bringing back one wood stock when I return from U.S. visits - or is that a no-no now?

I've heard conflicting reports, and I don't want to come accross as biased as I do realize I am selling these, but I don't believe the export exemption exists anymore. This is just repeating hearsay and the issues a friend had when bringing a fourty US dollar trigger kit over the line and he got stopped for an export check. The export checks are getting more common in my area, I go to the states a lot (just back from Cali this tues), and have been through a half dozen in the last year.

Ardent, thanks for the info.
Ack, some of those export rules are so silly.
I'll call US Customs at the local border crossing and see what they say. I'll post here what I find out - probably after turker day.
