Fibre Optic front sight for Remington 572

I inherited a Remington 572 from my father who received it from a good friend who has since passed. It's in great shape, I'd like to get it out shooting this summer. However, I have a hell of a time seeing the front sight. I would like to get a fibre optic replacement. One gunsmith I spoke too said there was nothing available, but I figure there must be something out there. I'd like to stick to open sights, not really looking for a red dot or scope right now. Thanks for any suggestions.

You might need to get a complete front sight base off of a Remington centerfire rifle or shotgun and swap it out with the one on your 572. Then you can get the fiber optic kits for it. Or if you're somewhat handi with tools you could just modify the existing sight.
