Fibre vs 3 Dot sights?

I recently went shooting with my buddy who has a CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow and I absolutely fell in love with the gun. However, I still love my M&P9 just the same! One of the big things I noticed though was the speed with which I picked up the front site. Whilst I was extremely accurate with the Shadow as opposed to my M&P that day, I attribute that to the single action pull and sights.

I just want to know if anybody has experience or suggestions on fibre optic sights for an M&P or experiences in general? Thanks!

look at the trijicon hd sights, all the benefits without breakage/lost fibre pips... and the plus is they are night sights

I must admit I love the shadow set up...bright fo front sight, black rear....seem to find it so quickly, and don't find myself focusing on the rear..put the same set up on my 1911 commander with similar results..my sig came with three dot, and I swapped out the front for a true glow (green) its good, but for me...not as good..

Love the fiber on my Shadow.

I find for speed, fiber is the way to go.

But nowadays, I'm target shooting more for precision and I find I'm more accurate with 3 dots.

Fibre front and solid rear is the only way to go for IPSC style shooting. Bullseye precision you are better off with solid and the only reason to use 3 dot sights are if you need/want night sights for low light shooting

I'm going to or have already gone to FO on most of my pistols. Much quicker to pick up the front sight. I can shoot just as accurately as with dots.

I love pierogis even better than FO

I painted my M&P's front sight dot with fluorescent orange model paint and and the rear dots with green model paint (not fluorescent green...just regular green). Not as good as a dedicated FO sight but cheap and reversible. I've never been a big fan of sights with three identical white dots--this way the rear dots are there but more subtle, and the front really pops.
