Fibreoptic for Win 94 pre '64?

Hello CGNers,

I kind of like carrying an older Win model 94 top eject while dogging in the thick stuff but it's hard to get quick target acquisition with standard iron sights when I'm in the cedar swamp. Anyone have success adapting a fibre optic or similar front sight on the old Winchester?

Yep, a Williams fire sight on my guide gun & just ordered a Tru Glo interchangable fibreoptic sight for a pre 64 that I own. The red sight is better than stock but yellow or green would be better. the trick is to get the right size height (close to original as possible) front sight. As it wont muck up the rear buckhorn elevation this way.
