Details:

  • Weapon of choice: Dodge Ram 1500 4 DR SB in all-weather white paint
  • Caliber: V-8, non-Hemi, with flex fuel
  • Terminal velocity: 80 kph
Observations:

  • Excellent smack-down power for DRT status, but extremely poor penetration, even on a full broadside shot.
  • Tends to damage a LOT of meat
  • Turns out this weapon is a single shot only, and reloading is expensive as hell. (6300.00 plus rental for 2 weeks).
Overall:
  • Not recommended.

pics

tell me you took at least one picture before returning it with your tail between your legs :runaway:

Got my first gopher of the season with 265/75R15, also V8 powered. It's my brother's, actually, and he took a deer with it a couple of years ago. If I recall correctly that cost more than yours, but insurance took care of it. Hope you are covered.

Come on Popcan...I will show you mine if you show us yours.

Bloody idiot cockie had a mob of black cattle on the road at night, I would have gladly hung the prick.

I have to find the pics again..

but I got the deer dead center. Front bumper was hardly touched, but everything above was destroyed and pushed back 8 inches....

Both headlights popped out and dangling, hood creased straight back, rad and transmission cooler wrecked, coolant and tran oil gone south, fan just barely turning.

Air bags did not deploy though. I think the sensors are in the bumper.

Glad your ok. Bummer to the wallet though

I remember a couple of years ago. A deer was hit on Hwy 11/17 in Thunder Bay and went through the windshield. Landed on a kid in a carseat (went between the two front seats). Multiple fractures, was ugly but the kid walked out of the hospital a couple of months later.

Pharaoh2:

I wasn't that it was spelt "ECNALUBMA", it was because it wasn't bi-lingual. :)
