Someone wanna help me out here.

I can get the slide off of the frame but removing the guide rod and barrel from the slide is another story.

Manual talks about a special tool to use or a paper clip - wtf. I dont have a special tool other than a hex driver which doesnt help out at all - doesnt even fit anything on the pistol.

I would like someone to talk me threw this please.

Get a paper clip. straighten it. Then 1/8" from one end - put a 90 degree bend in it.

Lock the slide back. Stick the little bent end of the paperclip in a hole in the guide rod on the outside of the bushing. Ease the slide forward and the recoil plug will catch on the paper clip.

Remove the slide stop and pull the slide off. From the inside of the slide, take the "captured" reverse plug, guide rod and recoil spring out. Rotate the bushing before sliding the barrel out.

Re-assembly is the reverse of disassembly I always wanted to write that...:D

I also needed Redleg to help me out with field striping my new pistol (yet again) but I got her figured out now.

Nearly 2 grand for a pistol and I need to scrounge up a paper clip to disassemble. Damn SA.

Or you could point it at Jet Li and he could simultaneous disarm you and dissamble your gun (like he did in Lethal Weapon 3)
