Did a review on the Fierce Edge CT in 300 PRC. These are amazing firearms for the price IMO, expensive yes, but a browning pro is $2800 so they really aren't too far off the mark.

Hmm yeah, I love the Fierce rifles. And the X-Bolt Pro. Both cycle and feed beautifully and are wicked accurate. I like the ergos of the Rival stock best, but they do make great rifles. Out of my price range though so I'll stick with my X-Bolt non-Pro.

Well, nice paint job, but this is very questionable proposition. Official site says MSRP $3,975, USD mind you, Cabela US has it listed at $3,999.99. Or CDN $4890.88.

Well lets see:

Sig Cross (6.5 lbs) - CDN $2100
Cadex CDX-R7 CRBN (8.2 lbs for 24" barrel) - CDN $3359.95 - $4169.95
Cadex CDX-R7 SPTR (8.2 lbs for 24" barrel) - CDN $2769.95 - $3 079.95
Christensen Arms Modern Precision (6.9 lbs) - $3k Canadian, (MSRP USD $2400)

Lets build our own with a screwdriver:
Barreled Action from Ultimatum Precision $2K or
Cadex CDX-R7 Barreled action - $2k or
K.S. Arms 2 or 3 lug around a bit over $2k
MDT HNT 26 stock (1.9 lbs folding, mlock, arca awesomeness) - $1.5k

So how does a Sako 85 clone with zero adjustable, non folding stock come to $5k again?

Thats for the titanium action carbon fibre barrel version, for the standard stainless steel they can be had for around $3700 from multiple site sponsors.

Some people prefer to build, some don't, compare this to the Browning Xbolt Max coming in at around 2900, this has more features, better trigger, better action and nicer stock (carbon fibre) not a bad deal IMO

Alternatively you can get the Fury which doesn't come with a target for around the $3200. Not a bad deal IMO

But they still have a Sako 85 ejection issues. My hunting partner has an edge chambered insis chambered in 7MM ram Mag. In the case still hits his VX5HD.

How old is his rifle, I bought a Carbon Edge last fall in 6.5 PRC...its built on a long action, no ejection issues at all.

I did however have problems on a Sako 85 finnlight in 7RM with ejection in a store, knowing of the ejection problems I asked the store to eject a spent case with a VX3 x40 mounted on it.

Ended up buying a Kimber Montana 280AI instead of the Sako....one of my favourite rifles now :)

Fierce customer service is probably the worst in the industry by far. If you do some reading on other forums you'll see why. The number 1 story that sticks out to me was a gentleman couldn't get his rifle to shoot, like at all. I don't remember the exact measurements but it was insane. Anyway long of it short, there was 0 rifling in his barrel. Fierce forgot to cut rifling in it, so their QC is clearly brutal. So after contacting them, they basically told him to pound sand. He sued and won. It was on Rokslide if my memory serves me right.

I was fortunate, my Fierce shot but I bought it second hand, and the original owner lost the thread protector so you couldnt remove the brake without risking damaging the threads. No big deal to me. When I sold it, I told the buyer this and he said he would contact Fierce or get a Canadian dealer to and he would just buy another one. He didn't even want it for free. Again, long story short, he never got one. Fierce wouldn't get back to him, the Canadian rep, in so many words, told the dealers theres nothing he can do to help etc.

I will never own another one. Ever. I wont support a company who's quality control and customer service is non-existent, especially when you drop that kinda money on a rifle. I'll support another brand, or even build a custom from a reputable Canadian smith using Canadian products before Fierce gets a penny from me again.

I cant speak on Antler Arms customer service, quality etc but anyone who was tied or is tied to Fierce I have a bitter taste for. This includes Christensen Arms.
