HI guys

Anyone have any experience with the fierce EDGE rifles?
I am thinking of buying one.
They guaranty 1/2" group at 100 yards...
I would like to here from anyone that handled one as far as fit and finish, or owns one?
What was the accuracy like?
What was the stock like?
How was the trigger?

THX

I have handled a few and been at the range while a few were being shot. I think it is a well made, decent handling rifle, I would however change a few things to better fit me. However, I have a semi custom remington 700 in a wildcat stock and mcgowan barrel that shoots just as good as any fierce I have seen on the bench. I am into my custom for $1800-$2000 without glass. My money goes to a semi custom over a fierce any day.

I wish I could give you a review. I paid the deposit on one 13 months ago, and now have no expected delivery date. Now with the exchange rate where it is you are looking at $4000 for the titanium model (what I ordered). If I knew going in I was going to pay $4000 I definetely would have gone full custom. I was originally quoted $3400 taxes in, now its $4000 plus taxes. Ouch. For that kinda cash I could buy big name components and have everything to my specs.

I handled one at the Calgary gunshow. The fit and finish was not up to what I expect for that money. Bottom metal proud of the stock, recoil pad not following the lines of the stock. At least the barrel was in the middle of the barrel channel in the stock.

From what I have heard, I think I will just buy a Sako Finnlight in 300 WSM. I was not sure if it was worth the extra money? Thanks for the replies!
I have a few rifles, but wanted a lighter rifle for the long treaks I go on!

How is it you have to pay any exchange?! That seems like such a scam. The actions are manufactured in Canada, they proclaim to manufacture all the components themselves in Canada, yet quote in US dollars. Seems a little sh#tty to be a Canadian manufacturer reaping the benefits of a declining dollar. Why support a Canadian manufacturer that does that.

I just finished a full custom build on a Defiance/McMillian/Krieger/Timney that even with the exchange cost me $4,600 built and taxes to my door. Hell of a lot more rifle than a Fierce.

Thats one of the problems I have with them, why should the exchange hit the pricing? Because they are an American owned company, sourcing several components out of the US. I have serious doubts they make much other than the action (if that) the thimb hole stock looks like an mpi stock, the barrel's are not made in house. Chambered, but I doubt they are making barrels. Now I wish I had waited and not ordered one. Fierce was just starting to advertise the edge model when I ordered, and I wanted to try a Canadian made hunting rifle. With the new pricing I could have easily gone full custom, and likely have a rifle in my hands today.

I own a CT Edge in 7mm Rem Mag. It is OK, I haven't shot it a whole lot yet to give a honest review of them but it does seem to be accurate and light weight. I picked this rifle up for mainly sheep hunting so light weight and accuracy was what I was going for!
I did have a issue with the mag scratching my brass when clambering a round, but I was able to fixe this with a fine file (you shouldn't have to do this with a $4500 rifle) and there customer service is not all that great!

Did you take it apart ? Look a the bottom of the action i would to know if they fixed the rough machining. Take a pic if you can.

No signs of rough machining on the action.

I was doing a little snooping on Gunbroker today, now I am really kinda po'd. Found a Edge Ti speced out exactly like what I had ordered 13 months ago...

I contacted a dealer that had one, and before I could buy it they raised the price $500, less than a week.
Not buying now, its the principle. I will buy a Sako Finnlight and accurize as required!
I will not use a gun hunting unless it shoots a 3/4" consistantly.
I obviously reload, and they are a light rifle.
Thanks for the replies!

So I went to buy a Sako Finnlight, and when they brought it out, at the end of the barrel was pitted?? When I looked over the gun, the stock at the recoil pad was like it was separated inside? You could squeeze the stock in front of the recoil pad about 1/4 inch? They only had one and I didn't take it.
Now I ended up ordering a Fierce Edge in 300WSM, which will be here next week. I hope this gun is as good as the countless reviews I have read I got the dealer to send me a pic of the test target first. The test target is under a 1/2 inch shot with 185 VLD bullets. I will put a 3.5-10X40 leupold until a get more funds to buy a better scope! The Sako quality on that gun spooked me, and I love Sakos, and have some, (75's) and all great guns! I hope this fierce turns out to be as good as they say!!!

So I have the edge rifle now, and installed a 3.5-10 Leupold scope for the time being. The fit and finish is very good, except like Beale338, the magazine was scratching the cases quite a bit and lightly cleaned up the inside edges of the mag. Like he said, you should not have to do this on a rifle that price. I will test fire the rifle time permitting.
The stock is excellent. We will see what I can get out of 165 gr accubond bullets with H4350??? If not good enough I may try Barnes TTSX 165's I have heard some people are getting very good accuracy with these especially out of these rifles..

I hope you see some great accuracy, I am still waiting for mine to show.

I have had good luck with both the accubond and the ttsx in my 300wsm. With the accubond I run 65.5gr h4350, which is slightly over some books, and inline with others. I have a hs precision htr, which is fairly heavy barreled, gets some very good groups with that combo.

Thanks LongBomber thats what I will work up to if I can. I need to fire some factory ammo first to get my OAL properly measured (I need a fire formed case).
I will probably try both bullets when I get a chance, but I can't find any 165 TTSX 30 cal bullets anywhere?

Last box I saw was at Basspro in Calgary a few months ago. You might want to try the 168ttsx as well, the bc is a little better and on game performance should be the same.

I went and shot some loads of 165 accubonds, with H4350. The gun shot all loads very well. The 65.5 gr. shot under 3/4 inch. I had fired quite a few shots already. ( I worked up to that load) I'm sure it will shoot that load a 1/2 inch, when I go out again fresh! I seated the bullets out 50 thou. from the lands because I want to use the magazine. When I have time I would like to try the barnes 165 or 168 TTSX bullets with the same powder! The gun is extremely nice to shoot as well! I am looking at putting a Meopta scope on it, MeoPro 4.5-14X44. I hear alot of good things about these scopes but have never saw one?
