Hey there everyone. I am currently weighing my options for a custom rifle build and stumbled across Fierce rifle, specifically the edge model. My question is does anyone have first hand experience with these rifles, hows the fit, finish, guarentted accuracy? I have seen abound 50% good and negative reviews online so far but those were from years ago.

Thanks for the help!

Well I've got partial info for you Dog, I bought one almost two years ago just before we did a major move, just finally settled in and joined up with a new club so I'll get to shoot it soon but haven't quite yet. The only shooting I've done since then is with a POS Ruger American in 308 cause it didn't get boxed up. lol So-kay, I did get a couple deer with it.

Anyways, fit and finish = excellent, bolt cycles like a dream. Mine is an Edge in 7wsm. I have heard complaints about the fibre composite barrels or whatever they are, complaints of unravelling etc. Mine is just a stainless basic Edge. You may want to talk to todbartell (who I bought it from) he has set up several for other customers and has experienced some very good accuracy. Good luck with your decision :)

No prob, thanks. Yeah that's how I came upon them too was thinking custom and looked at all the features already there with Fierce rifles and I decided to give one a try :)

I have a 6.5x47 that I acquired in a trade which is an edge model. It has a slim sporter contour barrel that is threaded for for a brake and comes with a thread protector. I was a little skeptical of whether or not it would shoot good as the barrel is much thinner than anything else I have. Using H4350 and BR4's I tried lapua 136's, Berger 130 VLD, 130 OTM, 135 classics and 140 VLD's. It seemed to like the lapua 136 and Berger 135's so with a few more range trips I was able to get groups under .5 moa and extreme velocity spreads of 5 shot groups under 20 fps. With the 135's I'm sometimes able to get a group in the 2's except for that last 5th shot so I'm very happy with the accuracy.

The trigger is adjustable and the machining is very good as well. The only issue I had was that putting more than 2-3 rounds in the mag would cause them to tip base down in the mag and not allow the bolt to either come back or pick up a new round if the bolt was back and the mag was inserted like that. Probably just needed a stronger follower spring. I emailed fierce and they directed me to Canadian distributor. I left a message and within a couple days their staff and gunsmith called me back, I described the issue and they sent me a new mag for free right away.

Overall it's my opinion that the rifle shoots very well and they're customer service was fantastic, no complaints from me about their product whatsoever. I'd say if you were considering a custom build but maybe your not someone who wants to have a tight neck or specific freebore and the price of the fierce your looking at is less than a custom build that your considering to go with the fierce.

I have shot six or eight Fierce rifles and they've all shot well. My father in law's Edge in 26 Nosler did 2" @ 400y last summer when testing some handloads. Problems : One 300wsm wouldn't feed very well with 3 rounds down but Fierce sent a free magazine and it cured the problem. Even the Fury model, $2495 (Edge with no fluting and less cartridge offerings), are guaranteed 1/2moa. Buddy of mine has this in 7mm Rem Mag and he's getting some beauty groups

I've seen several Fury, Carbon Edge, and Edge. The fit and finish from one rifle to the next is very poor. I can't believe the price they ask for them at that shotty of a job. Like trigger guard screws sticking out passed the stock. Bolts that feel like a zipper. Recoil pads that are just prefit limbsavers for Sako/Tikka and they don't even match the contour of the stock. The latest Fierce I've seen is a Fury LR and the stock is just awful. Its not even comfortable to hold onto however the fit and finish was much better than the previous rifles I've seen.

I own a Ti Edge in 300wsm. It is the most accurate hunting rifle I've ever owned. It has shot 1/2 MOA out to 500 yards with factory 190 gr. Nosler LRAB off a bipod. It is light, very accurate, and fit and finish is awesome. I could not be happier with this rifle...It's a keeper!

I've only handled them at the LGS, but I don't see what makes them worth the money. Action appears to be a Sako clone, stocks are average. For less money you could get a cooper that has beautiful wood and blueing. I was not impressed. I think its one of those price it at a premium so people believe its premium kind of deals.

Way overpriced. Just buy the Sako 85 for the same fit and accuracy guarantee for less than half the price.

Sako's have a 1MOA 5 shot accuracy guarantee, plastic stock Finnlight will be in the $2300 range +/-. A carbon fiber stocked Fierce Fury is 1/2moa 3 shot, $2495

Fierce also have a lifetime warranty

I've had two Fierce rifles and still own one in 300 WM. Neither of them had the barrels indexed.
But the one I have now is extremely accurate with 185g Bergers.

I have a edge ti in 26. Very accurate rifle, bolt slides like its on polished glass, feeds and ejects perfect. The flutes are not indexedwhich bothers my ocd... but I have shot a bunch of nice groups with it and last years elk at 519 yards. I like the pattern of the stock, the bit of palm swell and cast fits me nicely. That said the customer serivice was kinda poor, it was 18 months from the time I ordered to when I got the rifle. Many promise dates that were missed repeatedly. Got the rifle and it didn't have the dipped camo I ordered and paid for. I had a different dealer help out with the stock. In the end I didnt like the customer service from fierce, but the rifle equals most of the customs I have fondled.

Well would you buy a new car with only a 50/50 rating :bangHead: get the custom built and know have what -get for sure ! :d And it will be NO more expensive - prob Cheaper ! ;) jmo RJ

Where do you get 50/50 from RJ? All the negative comments including mainly people with no experience doesn't make 50% by far from what I've seen and heard. If you polled actual Fierce owners approval ratings would be quite high. If the argument is a custom is just better, fine, that's a personal opinion and up to the guy paying the bill. But for a production rifle Fierce is one of the best AFAIC.

3 shots @ 100y from a Fierce Ti in 300WSM, .301MOA
