Hey there
Just seen this thing ,it was made to circumvent California laws maybe?

Anyway,it would've worked here ,until the OIC.
But,shouldn't it still be Non restricted as the lower isnt an AR15,but it will still mate with an AR15 upper?
Legally , of cou6...lol

Yes,but surely there must be a work around.
As you have to slide the AR upper onto the SCR lower, differently than an regular AR.
lower.
There must be some way to come up with an upper with different, proprietary, mating system??
I know it's been done before.

Yes it’s been done before. By ATRS and by MacAbee to name two. Still did not help them in the long run.

Cool, kinda of what I came across the other day.

Someone needs to start making the Remington 7400 again.

It wouldn't be too difficult to make us a batch in 5.56, and taking AR magazines.

They already did.....the 7615. You see them on here occasionally, but IMHO they have become cost prohibitive. Still kicking myself for not grabbing the one at the last Edmonton gun show before COVID-19 hit.

i looked into doing a tacticool conversion to one of the 7400 series guns (perhaps similar to a marlin dark or somesuch with handguard, rail, threaded barrel, police stock). magazine conversion would be work, and end result meh; they are a hunting gun and apparently come apart if subject to a more aggressive duty cycle. the winchester 100 seemed a better candidate, esp if you could come up with a cool stock like on the hk sl7. more expensive gun, however, and wouldn't want to wreck it in the process.

I've thought about the same thing. But came to the same conclusion.

I'm really hoping that someone brings us some new guns, based on already approved non-restricted actions.

Of course I realize that's a risky endeavor for any manufacturer who does such a thing.
Laws could change again before the first rifle even hits the shelf.

Like the ATRS rifles? Or the Macabee rifles? Or the AR10 types? Or the M305 types? Or the CZ858 types? Or the Swiss Arms rifles?

The firearms market in Canada, with this government, is dead. No one would risk the investment.
